Collective aspects of a two alpha clusters system
Description
A collective Hamiltonian, its energy spectrum and the corresponding wave functions describing a two alpha particles cluster, which simulates the 8Be nucleus, are numerically calculated starting from microscopic considerations within an approach of the Generator Coordinate Method. The internucleon force considered here is the one proposed by Brink and Booker plus the Coulomb repulsion. The collective potential, inertia function and low lying energy levels of the system are presented and analysed. (Author)

Um Hamiltoniano coletivo, seu espectro de energia e suas funcoes de onda correspondentes descrevendo uma aglutinacao de duas particulas alfa, que simulam o nucleo 8Be, sao numericamente calculadas comecando das consideracoes microscopicas dentro de uma aproximacao do Metodo Gerador de Coordenadas. A forca internuclear considerada e uma das propostas de Brink e Booker mais a repulsao coulombiana. O potencial coletivo, funcao de inercia e niveis de energia estacionario do sistema sao apresentadas e analizadas. (M.A.F.)Files
