Description

Positron-sensitive detector (PSD) has been developed to replace the simple BF3 neutron counter in a conventional double axis spectrometer. The solid angle for simultaneous registration of scattered intensity is enlarged allowing substantial experimental time reduction. Thus a rapid determination of several different pole figures is enabled and a new scope of potential applications is opened, e.g. recrystallization kinetics and others. Cold-rolled low carbon steel sheets have been investigated with the proposed spectrometer modification. The results of the texture measurements are presented as a two-dimentional pole figure. 4 fogs., 5 refs
