IR spectra of tetra(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert.butylphenyl)metalloporphyrins and their free-radical derivatives

Description

The IR spectra are studied and the absorption electron spectra data of vanadyl complexes with tetra-(4-hydroxy-3, 5-di-tert. butylphenyl) porphyrin (1), its quinoid and free-radical derivatives are analyzed. The effect of vanadyl oxygen atom possessing acceptor properties on the electron structure of prophyrin ligand ring has been found. In vanadyl complexes with mono- and biradical derivatives of 1 the VO2+ central ion oxidation has been found by radical fragment as a result of which the latter is reduced up to the anion with production of anion- and anion-radical VO3+ complexes, respectively
