On carbide formation effect in steel during stress tempering on resistance to low plastic strains

Description

The effect of stress tempering and strain ageing on resistance to low plastic strains of elastic elements of 45KhN2MFA steel is studied. When directions of loading during 45KhN2MFA steel stress tempering and testing. Are coincide the main cause of increasing the resistance to low plastic strains is strain strengthening. When there is discrepancy between the deformation and testing directions strengthening is due to refining of the carbide phase
