  • 1. Nagasaki Univ. (Japan). School of Medicine

Description

To make data base of treatment records of a-bomb survivors, data of records were filed into a computer, and relationships between 3 examined items, sex, age and exposure distance, and values of normal change limit of 3 items were discussed. It was clarified from mean values according to sex and standard deviation and linear coefficient of correlation of 3 examined items that erythrocyte counts of men and women were directly proportional to age, a hemoglobin value was proportional to age only in men, and cholesterol value was proportional to age only in women. About covarience of each examined item among individuals or within an individual, covarience of an erythrocyte count and hemoglobin value within an male individual was about one thirtyth of those among individuals and that of cholesterol value was about one fourth, which indicated importance and effectiveness of time series examination data on individuals. An erythrocyte count of men about 40 years old was less in a short-distance group than in a great-distance group, but there were no significant differences between them. (Tsunoda, M.)
