Description
Multineedle counters with cathodic focussing (MNCF) can detect and localise simultaneous ionising phenomena associated with a single event. This type of counter is industrially feasible and has good counting characteristics, notably a dead time of about 2 microseconds which is very suitable for fast TSEE dosemeter readout systems. The multineedle counter principle, characteristics and preliminary results obtained in TSEE dosimetry with alpha alumina and beryllium oxide samples are presented. (author)
