The next generation of MONK7 criticality code

  • 1. AEA Reactor Services, Winfrith (United Kingdom)

Description

The reorganisation of the Electricity Supply Industry in the UK together with the change in status of the Government Agency called the UKAEA into a Commercial venture called AEA Technology has called for a profound rethink of the future of the MONK code which has been developed by the UKAEA over many years. This paper provides an overview of these changes indicating what new organisational arrangement will in future be responsible for the MONK code and what its immediate plans are. (Author)
