Quantum theory of 2D polariton condensates

Description
Full text: We consider a dilute interacting gas of 2D cavity-polaritons at equilibrium and T=0 within Bogoliubov theory. Our model allows to include both the non-parabolic kinetic energy and the k-dependent excitonic fraction. We obtain analytical results for the equation of state and the elementary excitation spectrum, allowing a comparison with theoretical predictions for 2D elementary bosons. (author)
