On possibility of neutrino detection by means of EAS coming from Earth
Description
Possibility to detect EAS generated by high-energy is discussed. Quantitative results concerning form of electromagnetic cascade with regard to Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect in the earth for 1017-1019 eV energy are obtained. Precise differential cross sections for braking radiation and for pair production according to Migdal were used, compton-effect was taken inot account as well as δ electrons ionization and Coulomb scattering in calculations by Monte Carlo method. Efficiency of detection of 1017-1019 eV electrons producted deeply in the earth increases by many times due to essential growth of mean depth and width of cascade
