Moving into a new phase - sol-gel GC columns
Description
Sol-gel materials have been used in a variety of areas such as optical lenses, specialty coatings and nanomaterials. Now, for the first time, they have been used commercially as stationary phases for gas chromatographic columns. It is an atractive option due to their ease of preparation, highly porous nature and excellent thermal stability at relatively high temperatures
