Preliminary results of steam blowdown experiments inside the containment

Description

The present phase I of the research project HDR (RS 123) is for the present forming the termination of a range of experimental investigations on the thermo- and fluid-dynamic behaviour of safety containments during loss of coolant incidents. These include also investigations on the open jet behaviour by means of an instrumented impact plate. The tests are used to confirm the applicability of the mathematical models developed for simulation of incidents in nuclear power plants. (orig./GL)

Abstract (German)

Die zur Zeit laufende Phase I des Forschungsvorhabens HDR (RS 123) bildet den vorlaeufigen Abschluss einer Reihe experimenteller Untersuchungen zum thermo- und fluiddynamischen Verhalten von Sicherheitsbehaeltern bei Kuehlmittelverluststoerfaellen. Darin eingeschlossen sind auch Untersuchungen zum Freistrahlverhalten mit Hilfe einer instrumentierten Prallplatte. Die Versuche dienen dazu, die Anwendbarkeit der entwickelten Rechenmodelle zur Simulation von Stoerfaellen in Kernkraftwerken zu bestaetigen. (orig./GL)
