Dy5Ru2 and Y5Ru2 with Mn5C2-type structure

Description
Dy5Ru2, monoclinic, C2/c, Z = 4, a = 15.658 (1), b = 6.2899 (2), c = 7.2584 (3) A, β = 97.25 (1)0, Dsub(x) = 9.50 Mg m-3. The compound crystallizes with the Mn5C2 (Pb5B2) structure type. The structure was refined from single-crystal data. Final R = 0.058 for 932 counter intensities. Y5Ru2, a = 15.769 (6), b = 6.341 (2), c = 7.320 (3) A, β = 97.20 (4)0, Dsub(x) = 5.91 Mg m-3. The structure is of the same type as Dy5Ru2. A discussion of the coordination is given. (Auth.)
