Preliminary experience of stereotactic radiation therapy of lung tumors

Description
To investigate the use of stereotactic radiation therapy for extracranial tumors, we developed a linac-based treatment unit. In this report, initial 13 patients with 17 pulmonary lesions were reviewed. In all patients, SRT of 40-60 Gy/5-12 Fr was performed safely. All but one lesion showed shrinkage in size. Interstitial changes in irradiated lungs were not prominent sofar. (author)
