Behaviour of the 99mTc-complexes from derivates of imidodiacetic acid in rats

Description

The in vitro and in vivo behaviour of several 99mTc-complexes of derivates of the imidodiacetic acid was examined. Starting from the hydrophilic behaviour of the complexes, the following questions were to be investigated: (1) To which degree do ligands have an influence on renal excretion? (2) Can any indication of a mainly tubular secretion be possibly obtained? 12 compounds which were substituted on the phenyl ring by means of HO-, H3C-CO-CO-, HOOC- and HO3S were studied. Two complexes were found to yield a high renal excretion (between 70 and 80%). 131I-o-iodohippuric acid and 99mTc-DTPA were studied as reference substances using the same methods. However, indication of mainly tubularly secreted 99mTc-complexes could not be found. (author)
