Creators

Description

In France, thanks to nuclear and hydro-power, the price of electricity is low and greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation are very low when compared with other countries. This data sheet shows that the CO2 emissions per capita from fossil fuels in 2014 were 4.3 tonnes for France, 8.9 tonnes for Germany and 16.2 tonnes for the USA. It is also shown that the price of electricity for French households in 2016 was 168.5 euros/MWh, far below the average European value of 205.2 euros/MWh. The price of electricity for medium-sized companies in France is below the average European value by 12%. (A.C.)
