Bifurcations and thermal stability of a radiating diverted plasma

Description
Bifurcations between thermal equilibria are shown to occur for a 1D radiating layer at constant pressure profile. The thermal stability of such equilibria is discussed in connection with the radiative condensation instability. The influence of the impurity density profile on the stability domain is also investigated
