Description

This selection deals with the subject of hadronic events, comparing the jet structure in e+ e - annhilations into hadrons with the jet structure in hadronic interactions. The author describes the experiment at CERN ISR at √5 = 62 GeV, using a split field magnet with which one can measure the momentum of charged particles. He discusses the results obtained, comparing the pp interaction data with data on e+ e - annhilation. In conclusion, he states that although sphercity and multiplicity distribution are the same for e+ e - hadrons and purely hadronic interactions, the transverse momentum distribution differs, when the leading proton is no longer part of the hadronic interaction
