Temperature dependence of electric conductivity for some alloys on the base of transition and simple metals in amorphous and crystalline states

Description
The electric resistance of the Zr70Be30, Zr60Be40, Hf58Be42, Zr75Rh25, Zr54Cu46 and Mg70Zn30 alloys in amorphous and metastable crystalline state is measured in the 4.2-300 K temperature range. Despite great differences in the values of specific electric resistance of amorphous systems based on transition metals Zr, Hf (150 μΩ cm < p < 320 μΩ cm) and those of ordinary metal Mg(p < 70 μΩ cm) for all the systems investigated in the amorphous phase a negative temperature resistance coefficient (dsub(T)sup(a) < 0) is observed. This fact is explained in the framework of a modified Ziman theory with the use of calorimetric data and results of X-ray measurements performed with the same samples. The account of temperature variation of the structural factor well explains the observed scale of the function rho(T) in the amorphous systems. The αsub(T)sup(cr) > 0 is traditionally observed for the respective crystaline analogs
