This document gathers pieces of information from around the world concerning nuclear industry. The most relevant ones are as follows. GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and BWXT Canada have signed an agreement to develop and market the BWRX-300 reactor that is a small modular reactor SMR of the boiling reactor type. 10 countries of the European Union are mobilised to label investments in nuclear energy as green investments. In order to preserve its nuclear power plants from the competition of gas-fired plants in the American market where the carbon tax does not exist, the Illinois Congress passed the Preserving Existing Nuclear Generation Act. EDF has submitted a bid to the Polish government for the construction of 4 to 6 EPR on 2 or 3 sites. The government of Bangladesh has announced that a second nuclear power plant will be built. A recent opinion poll shows that the most convincing asset of nuclear energy for the French is that it allows energy independence. The Turkish authorities are considering the construction of 2 nuclear power plants in addition to the one that is being built by Rosatom and that is composed of 4 VVER of 1200 MW. (A.C.)
