Crystal structure of NdIrGe2

Description
Crystal structure of NdIrGe2 compound was decorded using monocrystal technique (autodiffractometer ''Sintex R21'', MoK2, 383 inique data, R=0.061). It belongs to new structural type: sp.gr. Immm, a=4.358(1), b=8.909(2), c=16.153(7)A, Z=8. Germanium coordination polyhedrons are trigonal prisms or cubic octahedrons, while those of iridium-tetragonal antiprisms. Structure of intermetallic compound is dimetric combination of GeGa2Al2, AlB2 and MoSi2 fragments
