Method of double tracer addition for determining uranium in geological samples by mass spectrometric isotope dilution
Description
The present work shows the experimental details on the uranium determination in materials by mass spectrometric isotope dilution technique with double tracer (233U + 235U). The mass discrimination phenomenon effect is studied. The uranium concentration values obtained by mass spectrometric isotope dilution technique with double tracer are compared with other techniques. The influence of the sampling in the accurate determination of uranium in the rock sample is discussed. (author)

Detalhes experimentais da determinacao de uranio em materiais geologicos pela tecnica de diluicao isotopica com duplo tracador (233U e 235U) sao estabelecidos com intuito de estudar o efeito do fenomeno de discriminacao de massa ou fracionamento isotopico. Os valores da concentracao de uranio obtidos com a tecnica de diluicao isotopica por espectrometria de massa com duplo tracador sao comparados com os de outras tecnicas e, discute-se a influencia da amostragem dos materiais geologicos na precisao das determinacoes.
