Description

Theory of motion of quasi-particles, electrons and a vibrational excitation along molecular chains is developed without using the adiabatic approximation and the perturbation theory. It is shown that the motion of quasi-particles is accompanied by a local chain deformation. The deceleration of a soliton by external dissipative forces is studied. The effect of thermal vibrations on the soliton motion is analysed. (orig.)
