Description
Tajikistan has a large amount of low-quality aluminum-containing ores (Al2O3 content up to ~25%). These ores can be used to obtain a number of valuable components for the needs of the country. In the laboratory of complex processing of mineral raw materials and waste of the Institute of Chemistry named after V.I. Nikitin of NAST, for 30 years, work has been carried out to study the physicochemical aspects of processing of aluminosilicate ores by chlorine and acid methods. New waste-free and environmentally friendly acid methods have been developed for processing of nepheline syenites, kaolin clays, and argillite and other aluminum-containing raw materials to produce effective coagulants, high-quality raw materials for porcelain production, liquid glass, etc. (author)
