Crystallochemical systematics of coordination uranyl compounds

  • 1. Kujbyshevskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

The structure of the structurally studied uranyl compounds not containing chelate ligands is considered from crystallochemical positions. It has been established that when there is any uranyl ion in equatorial plane only mono-, bi-, tri- and tetradentate ligands in the case of pentagonal-bipyramid coordination of uranium atom 56 types of uranium-containing structural groupings are theoretically possible, they differ in the composition of coordination sphere of uranyl ion, presently only 17 of them are detected. Uranyl complexes with tetra- and hexagonally-bipyramid coordination of uranium atoms are discussed
