Relativistic model for nuclear fission
Description
A two-center equivalent oscillator Hamiltonian is introduced. It is modified to give a nuclear model for computing energy levels and applied to estimate relativistic corrections to the shell corrections. It is found that despite minor disagreements, the model can be used to estimate the contributions of special relativistic corrections to the fission barrier
