A new photoinduced phenomenon in polymers
Description
Full text: Our theory predicts that the polymeric molecule can possess a new photoinduced phenomenon: in electric field, the dipole of the molecule with a bipolaron is reversed by absorbing one photon. This optoelectronic switching effect is produced by the photoinduced polarization inversion (PIPI), which is an ultrafast process with relaxation time of 200 femtoseconds
