Excitation of the (psub(3/2))sup(-1) hole state in the 16O(γ,n)15O reaction
Description
In the excitation energy region 5 <= Esub(x) <= 9 MeV of the residual nucleus differential (γ,n) cross sections on 16O have been measured for photon energies 60 <= Esub(γ) <= 160 MeV. For high momentum transfers the ratio R for the transitions 16O(γ,n) 15Osub(3/2) - and 16O(γ,n0)15O exceeds considerably the value of 2 expected from the occupation numbers of the corresponding subshells.
