MATRA, Void Simulation in Steam and H2O Mixture Channel in Accident
Description
1 - Nature of physical problem solved: The program simulates the voiding following an accident, of a constant area channel, either heated or adiabatic in which a steam-water mixture flows. Subcooled water may be present in the initial part of the channel. 2 - Method of solution: A partially simplified model has been used for the non-stationary hydrodynamics of a two-phase flow, based on mass and energy conservation equations. The deriving system of quasi-linear partial differential equations has been integrated by using the method of the characteristic curves
