Progress report on the HI-13 tandem accelerator

Description
At the Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing China, the installation of a 13 MV tandem accelerator facility, including all buildings and auxiliary equipment, has been totally completed. The progress report on every aspect of this machine including building, tank, injector system, vacuum system, generator, gas handling system and experimental equipment is presented. Preliminary voltage tests started in September 1984. A terminal voltage of over 12 MV at a SF6 pressure of 90 psig with the tubes installed was achieved in January 1985. (orig.)
