Feasibility studies for recovery of plutonium from the Pu polymeric species
Creators
- 1. Reprocessing Group, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)
Description
A flow sheet is optimized for the recovery of plutonium polymer adhering to the surfaces of process vessels and equipment. Ceric ammonium nitrate is used as the depolymerising agent. U4+/ NaNO2 is added for the quantitative recovery of plutonium depolmerised solution by extracting with 30 % TBP. (author)
