Progress in simulation study of fusion plasmas. Kinetic transport simulations of core plasmas

  • 1. National Institute for Fusion Science, Toki, Gifu (Japan)

Description

This paper reports on core plasmas' particle/heat transport research in the numerical experimental reactor research project. Currently, in accordance with the 3rd medium-term plan, this project is constructing a simplified model based on the results of gyro kinetic simulation for the purpose of incorporating into the integrated transport code, and analyzing impurity hole phenomenon using the simulation code of drift kinetic theory and gyro kinetic theory that incorporated multiple ion species effects. In addition, collaborative research is progressing on the verification of confinement improvement and the identification of turbulent fluctuations in deuterium experiments using a large helical device (LHD). Abstract (Japanese)
