This short review shows the activities of the Nuclear Engineering Section of ETRAN during past 50 years including most important topics of the presented papers. The included chart shows that the Conferences held in eighties of last century were most successful meaning that the highest number of papers were presented. Besides regularly held annual conferences a number of topical meetings were organized
