Long-term multi-wavelength study of FSRQ 3C 279 during 2012-2018

  • 1. Astrophysical Sciences Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai 400085 (India)

Description

We present the multi wave band light curves for the flat spectrum radio quasar (FSRQ) 3C 279 over the period of 6.5 years from 2012 Jan to 2018 June. Multi waveband light curves comprises of data from SPOL (Optical), SMARTS (IR-Optical ), Swift-UVOT (optical-UV) , Swift-XRT (X-ray), Fermi-LAT (HE) and TACTIC (VHE; E>0.85 TeV) telescopes. Based on simultaneous availability of Fermi and X ray data 10 high states (flaring) and 3 low (quiescent) states have been identified. To understand the temporal and spectral evolution of the source during these states we modeled the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) for all the 13 states using single zone leptonic emission model. The results obtained will be discussed during the talk. (author)
