Description
The O(3,2) invariance properties of field theories in a background anti-de Sitter space-time are used to derive a nonperturbative Lehmann spectral representation for two-point functions of scalar operators. A suitable integral transform is defined and the transform of a two-point function is shown to satisfy a dispersion relation in a variable which is the eigenvalue of the Casimir operator of O
