Effects of neutron constants on the neutronic calculation of a thermonuclear reactor blanket

The neutron spectra sensitivity is determined and errors in calculating thermonuclear reactor blanket parameters are estimated using available data. In versions of calculation two models of thermonuclear reactors have been considered on the basis of tokamak: ''pure'' and hybrid. Calculations have been carried out by the BLANK program combining the Monte Carlo method at high energy of neutrons with the P1 - approximation at the energy below 0.1 MeV. The calculations are performed on the wide variation in neutron spectra in the 7Li/n,n' α/T and 238U(n,f) reactions. Presented are the dependences of energy release in the blanket, tritium and plutonium breeding, the fission number on neutron temperatures. The data on neutron spectra from the UKNDL and ENDF/B3 constant libraries are compared. The above analysis shows that the data employed for neutron calculations give considerable errors in determination of reactor principal parameters
