DOSI-ANA: a software package for maintenance operations dose management at PWRs

DOSI-ANA is a microcomputer software comprised of a set of easy-to-use program modules which can operate independently or in conjunction with each other, to plan, follow up and evaluate operations in nuclear power plants in an occupational dose control perspective. This software, which is in use in French PWRs, has been developed by CEPN for ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE and FRAMATOME as a tool to support health physicists in their approach to reduce occupational exposures. The PREDICTION module allows the documentation of data bases integrating all relevant information related to the operation. It allows potential collective exposures to be calculated according to various criteria such as the technical phases of the operation and the categories of workers. The FOLLOW UP module integrates the fractions of individual dose and time associated with the various elementary tasks to be performed during the operation. The input data are collected manually or by the means of an automatic dose and job time tracking system. The EVALUATION module allows complementary calculations to be performed as variations between different alternatives at the predictive level or between predicted and actual results and classical statistical analyses.
