Effect of vertical Bloch lines on the stripe domain structure period

Description
Results of investigation with the vertical Bloch line effect (VBL) in the domain boundaries on the period of equilibrium and metastable states of domain structures are presented. Ferrit-garnet films with a light magnetization axis, perpendicular to their plane and grown on (111) substrates of gadolinium-gallium garnet are investigated. Investigation into domain structure, formed by the application of a constant displacement field and treated by pulsed displacement field and treated by pulsed displacement field, has demonstrated the presence of a very low VBL density in the domain boundaries which slightly change its energy
