The estimation of stark broadening parameters for the spectral lines of 4s 2S-4p 2P0 and 4s22D-4p 2P0 multiplets of neutral copper atoms with allowance for the back reaction of copper atoms on perturbing electrons in inelastic collisions

Description

The results of new quantum-mechanical calculations in the dipole approximation with allowance for the back reaction of cooper atoms on perturbing electrons in inelastic collisions are presented. The approximate inclusion of the back reaction of copper atom on the perturbing electron have been made through symmetry with respect to initial and final perturbers states, through corrections to broadening functions in the classical-path approximation and through the threshold cutoff of values connected with in inelastic collisions in the corresponding equations. The results of new calculations at different plasma temperatures T and electron concentration ne=1017 cm-3 for the Cu l 324.754 nm and Cu l 327.936 nm and resonance spectral lines which are the least known and for the Cu l 510.554 nm line are also presented. The experimental value of the width obtained earlier for the Cu I 324.754 nm resonance spectral line as the direct width of the line profile is strong overestimated. The real value of the electron width 2(i)c for the Cu I 327.396 nm resonance spectral line most likely ranges between 0.0025 nm and 0.005 nm at T=22000 K and ne = 10'7 cm3
