On changes in the properties of complexes in lanthanide series including fluorine ions

Description
A correlation equation is given which enables one to describe changes in the stability of trivalent lanthanide ion complexes, in the lanthanide series, versus the f-electron number, spin- and orbital quantum numbers of the ground states. Good coincidence of the calculated values of the stability constant logarithms with the experimentally obtained lanthanide ion complexes with fluorine and mixed-ligand complexes with EDTA and fluoride-ion verifies the applicability of the suggested expression. The possibility to calculate the functions characterizing the complex stability is shown for elements Pm for example, for which such information is not available
