An accelerator based multi-coincidence electron-photon spectrometer for the measurement of bremsstrahlung and inner-shell ionization cross-sections

Description
A new system for the measurement of coincidences between electrons and photons has been devised. This system, which is coupled with a 300 keV electron accelerator, will allow the user to measure electron-electron and electron-photon coincidences between any number of detectors simultaneously. Advantages of such a setup include the ability to carry out multiple scattering experiments simultaneously with just one beam. Also, provided enough detectors are available, coincidence measurements can be made at various angles simultaneously in one run. Details on the implementation of this system are presented. (orig.)
