Radiation safeguards for diagnostic X-ray equipment
Description
The operation of X-ray equipment requires protective devices, organisational measures and observation of rules. First of all, the paper deals with typical dose values of scattered radiation and the consequences for the absorbed dose. Classification into areas subject to routine supervision and to close control, and into protected areas, is explained. The major part of the paper deals with the radiation protection measures of typical diagnostic X-ray equipment. (orig.)
