Emission and immission of pollutants reason for better quality of fuel used in production process in OKTA (Macedonian Crude Oil Refinery)

  • 1. OKTA Crude Oil Refinery A.D., Skopje (Macedonia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of)

Description

The emission of pollutions ( SO2 , SO, NOx ) depends of fuel quality in use, management quality of combustion processes and the type of burners. In the paper special consideration is given on emission and imission of SO2 and its interdependence with the crude oil quality, as well as the quality of crude oil derivatives (an environmental aspects). The conclusion is that the OKTA Crude Oil Refinery in Macedonia needs to pay more attention on the crude oil quality when supply (procure) and process it as well as provide the management of combustion processes in order to increase the environmental protection, respectively the reduction of the pollutions emission.
