Method for the conversion of monophase uranium-plutonium monocarbide in (UPu)O2 contained in irradiated nuclear fuel
Description
The method of conversion of (UPu)C in irradiated (UPu)O2 is characterized in that one heats the fuel in CO2 to a temperature between 10000C and 11000C and hence obtains an oxidation product soluble in nitric acid. (UWI)
