Description
Purpose: To alleviate deformation of a reactor core resulting from a swelling by altering a fuel assembly loading angle of and thereby enabling adjustment of a coolant flow rate distribution. Constitution: Coolant is introduced from a high pressure plenum through the orifice opening of a connecting tube, and is then introduced through the orifice opening of an entrance nozzle into a fuel assembly. In this case, five flow rate control openings are formed axially at the entrance nozzle section, 1 to 5 high pressure plenum flow rate control sections are provided at every 60 on the inner surface of the connecting tube. When a reactor core fuel assembly is rotated in such a structure, the number of the flow rate control openings the coolant flows through is altered to control the coolant flow rate. (Sekiya, K.)
