Investigation of inelastic scattering of α-particles by 16O with αγ-angular correlation

Description
The results of measurements of double differential cross sections of the 16O(α, αγ)16O reaction at Eα=25.2 MeV and 30.3 MeV for scattering angles from 18 to 162 deg are presented. The modelless restoration of all even spin-tensor components of the density matrix of the 3-(6.131 MeV) state and of its most part for the 2+(6.916 MeV) state of residual nucleus is carried out. The angular dependences of differential cross section of the same reaction with 16O nucleus low states excitation and excitation functions for three scattering angles 38, 138 and 162 deg in energy interval 21-30 MeV are measured. the experimental results are compared with calculations incorporating the collective excitation mechanism by coupled-channel method and the compound nucleus production mechanism. 14 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab
