The stress and strain state of carbide and binder phases in WC-Co alloys under static loading

  • 1. Tohoku Metal Industries, Ltd., Sendai, 982

Description

In this paper, the stresses in each phase of cemented carbides are determined by X-ray stress measurement techniques under static loading, and the following problems are discussed mainly. (1) Distribution of strains in each phase under loading. (2) Directional relation between the applied stress and the stresses in each phase. (3) Hydraulic stress components in the phases of the alloys under uniaxial loading. (4) Numerical relationship between the applied stress and the stress in the WC phase
