Description

Using conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy (CEMS) and slow positron beam, the chemical states of the implanted 57Fe (100 keV, 3 x 1016 ions/cm2) in ZrO2 containing 3 mol% Y2O3 (ZY3) and its thermodynamic behavior during annealing process with the temperature from 200 to 500 C were studied. After annealing at 400 C the complex of Fe3+-V has been mostly dissolved, and the prior phase to α-Fe and α-Fe nano-crystalline cluster were present in the sample. Meanwhile the mixed conducting of oxygen-ions and electrons in the ZY3 containing Fe sample appeared. (orig.)
