Process for determining and evaluating the capacity of a PWR for a rapid return to power
Description
The process for determining and evaluating the capacity of a PWR for a rapid return to power consists to calculate a return capacity by application of the general formula. Prip=Prel+ΔP. Prip is the maximal return capacity by action on the control rods. Prel is the relative power given by the core and determined by measuring the neutron flux emitted by the core. ΔP is the additional power available as the control rod assembly is moved from its present position to the position of minimal insertion. Δp is calculated from the measured position of the control rods, the measured axial distribution of power and the depletion of the core

Procede de determination et d'evaluation de la capacite de retour rapide en puissance d'un reacteur nucleaire a eau pressurisee consistant a calculer une puissance de reprise par l'application de la formule generale: Prip=Prel + ΔP, dans laquelle Prip est la puissance de reprise maximale accessible par action sur les barres de controle, Prel est la puissance relative fournie par le coeur, determinee par la mesure en ligne du flux neutronique emis par le coeur et ΔP est la puissance additionnelle resultant de la reactivite potentielle de l'ensemble des barres de controle du reacteur quand cet ensemble passe de l'insertion observee a l'insertion minimale, ΔP se calculant a partir de la position mesuree des grappes de regulation de puissance, en faisant intervenir la distribution axiale de puissance mesuree et l'epuisement du coeur prealablement definiAdditional details
