Preparation of 236Pu in 237Np(γ,n) reaction

Description
236Pu was obtained in the 237Np(γ,n)236mNp → 236Pu at the Mt-25 FLYaR microtron - an electron accelerator. The above plutonium was separated from an irradiated target with application of anion-exchange chromatography. The activities ratios of 236Pu:238Pu:239Pu:240Pu:237Np was equal to 1:(≤1x10-4):1x10-5:2x10:(≤1x10-4). The 237Np(γ,n) reaction is the most optimal for obtaining 236Pu with admixture isotope content (by activity) of 10-6-10-7 Bg/Bg
