Description
In view of the problem of a concurrence between the γ decay and the emission of nucleons from states with the excitation energy of (U>=Bsub(n)+2) MeV the cross section is measured for the interaction of Esub(n)=14.6 MeV neutrons with 56Fe nuclei, resulting in emission of a single neutron with the energy of 0.330 mbn, obtained by the authors earlier. Though the statistical accuracy of the experiment is small but corrections are considerable, one can state with allowance for previous results that the cross section of the above process is unexpectedly large (relatively to the section of emission of two neutrons with energies of Esub(n')<=1.4 MeV. There is no possibility of consistent description of all the data on the capture of resonance neutrons determining the radiation width < Gsub(γ) (Bsub(n))>, data on spectra and cross section of radiative capture of fast nucleons (expecially at Esub(n)>10 MeV), determining < Gsub(γ)(V>Bsub(n)) >, and the results presented in this paper earlier in the framework of the total statistic model allowing for the conservation of the angular momentum and possibility of preq uilibrium emission for nucleons
